Thanks to GamerDork podcast #038 (with Leigh Alexander weighing-in as guest), I was seriously convinced into giving Sleep is Death a spin. I actually love the KotH format, but it gets very few airtime in a rotation server, and the rotation server itself is not [...] Busy month, last June was. Micro-blogging has thankfully allowed me to at least place some of those thoughts on record (which reminds me to look for some means of archiving them properly), but some of them are somewhat significant that I’d like [...] Valve just released an update to Team Fortress 2 that, among other bugfixes, allows the item unlocks via Sniper/Spy achievements. This doesn’t mean that the random item drops were removed (though they did do some back-end tweaking recently), but now you have a more deterministic method of getting your weapon unlocks… for the Sniper and [...] [update 3] Looks like they put back Achievement based unlocks for the Sniper/Spy! The system is intended to be time based, which should give more items for players who play more.
