Alternative opinions on Bandai World Gundam Competition 09 winners

An online competition by Bandai, Anime Festival Asia, and Danny Choo was held.  Apparently, Andres Cerrato did not agree on some of the winners.

I haven’t gone through the other entries, but I do love some of his “preferred winners“:

Want Yoda kicks?

Saw some Star Wars themed Adidas kicks while walking around the mall. There were only 2-3 models on display (Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, and something else that’s… black). Looking through the official catalog showed me this:

Answer to the question above:  WANT!

BTW, the collection’s intro video is a nice mashup of clips from the movie, [...]

web snapshots, 2010 mid-Jan

Some images that stuck with me the past two weeks:

Gaming mouse by Mad Catz that I hope will somehow reach my shores.  The isometric view makes it look like the Bat-Mobile (Ars describes it as a “Micheal Bay” look ^^ ).

Dan has a 48% chance of beating any other character in Street Fighter 4?!

… and Rose only has a 43% chance of beating everyone else on average?!  What sort of rubbish is this?!

Then again, there’s a chart involved, so okay.   ^^

A Japanese Street Fighter IV wiki ranked all the playable characters in the console versions of Street Fighter 4 into a chart.  Presumably, the chart displays the win chances [...]

Beerkada #8 Available in National Bookstore!

I was browsing for new stuff at a nearby National Bookstore and was considering purchasing “The Complete Illustrated Works of Edgar Allan Poe” (the review in Amazon said the book itself was bad, but since it was pretty cheap, I might be willing to sacrifice book binding issues for Poe’s complete work) when I happened [...]

Xmas 2007 Find: Battleships Forever

I ran into this great little nugget just a few hours ago. If you’ve seen it, good for you. If you haven’t, then sharing it will be my little Chirstmas 2007 present for you.

“Battleships Forever” is a free indie game made by Sean “th15″ Chan, a 22 year old Singaporean. It’s a [...]

Pirates in Yong [update]

[from Simoun Ibarra's EVE Online shiplog]

Inspired by my last encounter, I spent most of the day doing odd jobs and clearing the mining areas of any rats that I could handle. The work paid off when I was able to buy the ship I’ve currently been eying, the Caracal.

I decided to test my new [...]

Hobbycraft Magazine, the Philippines’ Newest Hobby Mag

I went to a nearby local comic/magazine/hobby to look for some back issues of Inquest when I noticed “Hobbycraft Magazine”. It was a local publication from PSICOM, was cheap, was new (1st issue just this April), and it seemed to include stuff about Magic: The Gathering. Being on the lookout for good local [...]
