June 2009 recap

Busy month, last June was.  A lot of interesting stuff, and not enough time write lengthy spiels about.  Micro-blogging has thankfully allowed me to at least place some of those thoughts on record (which reminds me to look for some means of archiving them properly), but some of them are somewhat significant that I’d like to give them a special mention before the month ends.

May 31: Upon getting the “Cloak and Dagger”, I managed to complete all unlockable weapons in TF2.  I have yet to gain a single hat, unfortunately.

June 2:  Left4Dead2 announcement.  Riots ensue.
June 3:  I began looking for a dictionary.  For some reason, I decided I wanted one for “fun”. Something to browse for new and interesting words.
June 10: Dungeons & Dragons Online will soon be free2play.
June 13: Toy Con PH 2009.
Got a Revoltech VF-1J.  I also saw the Revoltech Yamaguchi #50 (Gurren Lagann) figure, which seemed to call-out to me.  I’ve only watched an episode, so I decided to pass and think about it first.
Upon getting home, I saw a recap of this the week’s Gurren Lagann episodes and realized that I wish I got the Revoltech model.  I also realized that I should start watching the series seriously.

June 16: SFIV benchmarker available for download..
June 20: Gurren Lagann marathon.
June 20: Terminator Salvation was disappointingly so-so.
June 23: Bought a Merriam-Webster Dictionary/Thesaurus.  Unfortunately, most of the time I ran into familiar words.  I guess I shouldn’t expect a lot of obscure words since this isn’t of the “tome sized” variety.  Still, it’s better than nothing.
June 27: Transformers 2 rocks!
