Doodads:

  • Now this is a desktop calendar I want! The fact that it’s stackable is a bonus, the fun part is hitting the blasted thing to change dates! I just find it weird that the calendar is in the middle of a grass field in this pic.
  • I think this concept will go a long way, particularly in situations where you cannot be bothered to stop tell others that you can’t be bothered.
  • The future of sundials is electronic? Still, I think it would make a cool indoor centerpiece.
  • Ahh, this is how electricity generating should look like.

Here are the usuals:

  • Roll a d12… get the universe!
  • Saw Sneakers again in HBO. I’ve watched it countless times already and it’s still dang good! Way ahead of it’s time! Forget all that “The Net” and “Hackers” crap, this is the old school tech movie to beat!
  • World of Warcraft: Wrath Of the Lich King in closed alpha.
  • Personally, I’m more looking forward to Kongregate’s Kongai.

  • 3 GPUs in a single graphics card (prototype only)? We haven’t even correctly utilized multi-core processors yet.
  • I like anime, I’m ok with cosplay, but this just doesn’t work for me.
  • This article is basically an opinion piece regarding electronic security. There is an interesting tidbit about a desktop virtualization prototype by SanDisk in the first few paragraphs, but that’s not why I highlight this article. It’s the single picture that comes with the article that I want to point out. Let me ask those of you who read the article, how helpful is this picture in understanding the concepts or opinions the author wants to elaborate on?
It reminds me of all those advertising posters you see on the street which have random people giving a thumbs-up. I’m sorry, but a random schmuck giving a thumbs-up does not really convince me to buy plywood.
  • UN Tells Online Game It Can’t Have A Fake United Nations” - I love the side comments in this one.
  • Signs of the times. Check out the computer on the 2nd to the last panel, it’s browsing Digg
  • Is this the same coffee as the one in “The Bucket List“?
  • The beginning of the end for VB.
  • The effects of color-blindness in games has never really crossed my mind. I should remember this if I ever get back into my video game development track.
